I have a problem: I love nail polish. Mostly, I enjoy the shopping and the buying and the swatching. When it comes to actually painting my nails, I only use a couple of colors because I can't even. Photo by Moose Photos from Pexels. I wrote the poem, tho. #haikusday #millennialAF #sobasic

We celebrated my punctuality too soon, then I missed a whole Tuesday. Well, that's a holiday week for you. I'm back today with more short-form musings about the ambrosia of adulthood. No, not that abomination referred to as a salad. The delectable liquid brain fuel that has dominion over my productivity: coffee. Photo by Lood Goosen from Pexels. Haiku by yours truly. #haikusday #millennialAF #butfirstcoffee
If you're playing along at home, read the text and ignore the picture 😉 Picture from Claudio Mezzasalma on Unsplash. Haiku by me. #haikusday #millennialAF #kayenjee #WhoAmI
I haven't turned into a zombie or grown an extra limb, yet, so that's good. Photo by eberhard grossgasteiger from Pexels. Haiku by me, as usual. #haikusday #millennialAF #kayenjee
In case you've been vacationing on a different planet, or perhaps in Vietnam, you may not be aware of the raging pandemic going 'round. To do my part, I got vaccinated. The very day after discharging my civic duty, the news started fear mongering about potential side effects. My anxiety immediately reunited with its bestie hypochondria. The irrational thoughts began and naturally, I proceeded to freak the f-ck out. A couple of years back, I was nervous about traveling on a plane. My therapist told me that the ride could be a little rough at the beginning, but once the plane reached cruising altitude, it was pretty smooth sailing. Then, he added this nugget of wisdom: "By the time you're that high in the air, you're pretty out of control anyway, right?". To this day, I'm not sure if that was helpful. Worrying about an extremely unlikely outcome isn't helpful, either. As for the vaccine, I'm already at cruising altitude, now I'm just hoping/praying/meditating/coping until I make a safe landing. #millNice photo by Shane Kell from Pexels. Apparently posting once a week isn't a low-enough bar. Unsurprisingly, my failure to post is due to mental health problems. How millennial of me. #millennialAF #aesthetic #itsAriesseason
Ah, yes. Welcome to the first "Who Am I?" of 2021. If you're new here, "Who Am I?" is a family-friendly series of haiku which allude to some certain animal. If you like this one, check out the Family Friendy link on the right for more, "Who Am I" haiku. Hint: these insects are currently courting... in the most annoying fashion possible. Picture is borrowed from UT Austin. Words by me. #haikusday #millennialAF
Guess who's back. Back, again. Nope, not Shady. It's me, kayenjee! Now that bit of cringe is out of the way, let's get on to the haiku for today. If you're like me, this is what you came for. Why am I like this? #haikusday #millennialAF #theinternetsarehungry
