Welcome to another #Haikusday. Don't be fooled by the title, we're not wading into the emo pool today. This content is pure whimsy, as promised on the homepage. "Who Am I?" will be a recurring edition of #Haikusday, so be sure to come back for more family-friendly fun. And alliteration. Lots of alliteration. amusement: mandatory sharing: obligatory respect: statuatory #haikusday #kayenjee #whoamI #MPFA #makepoetryfunagain

#EmmaLazarus #TheNewColossus Technically, this is a poem about a song (by Twenty One Pilots), but it's also a haiku and you probably haven't looked at my other poetry anyway. Get on board. God grant me the serenity, and all that... #CliqueArt #kayenjee #Haikusday #peacebewithyou #andalsowithyourspirit #poemsaboutsongs #Blurryface #MPFA #makepoetryfunagain
Welcome to another installment of #Haikusday where your mind gets blown from reading 17 syllables of genius. Perhaps that was an overstatement. Enjoy it anyway. #MPFA #makepoetryfunagain #thisiswhatyoucamefor #Haikusday #kayenjee
Upon the recommendation of a famous celebrity, who claims to read Moby Dick every summer, I tried to conquer the ubiquitous tome in an attempt to enrich my mind and expand my horizons. Needless to say, I failed miserably and quit before Ishmael made it to the sea. In fact, I had to Google Ishmael's name as I was typing this post because although I made two attempts to read this text, I didn't remember his name. So, there's that. A year or two later, I decided that my tolerance for reading books I didn't like had been increased, and perhaps I could give it the ol' college try, again. It was a nope. It's not for me. Don't @ me. What classic novel/book/text do you hate? And for balance, which one do you love? Let me know in the comments.
#MPFA #makepoetryfunagain #Haikusday #kayenjee #MobyDick #HermanMelville I've been feeling down. It is an epic crash from the high of getting shit done. Today, instead of dwelling in my thoughts of impending demise, I thought we'd partake in something light-hearted, in the spirit of the America's birthday and all that. And by "America" I mean the "America, United States of" although America is actually made up of many countries, languages, ethnicities, and two whole continents. To be fair, it's just a name I use to refer to the land mass I live on. (I might have accidentally segued into this poem nicely.) TLDR: #MPFA #makepoetryfunagain #Haikusday #kayenjee |
