Thanksgiving is around the corner and food is on my mind...more than usual. If you do not or have not lived in the U.S.A., Thanksgiving is a slightly controversial holiday when the people inhabiting this country toss aside their differences and their diets to celebrate how thankful we are for everything, mostly manifest destiny. I kid, I kid. The very next day, we celebrate Black Friday by waking up unreasonably early and turning out in droves to throw our money at apathetic retailers. There is also a fair amount of quarreling with fellow for snatching the last half-priced off-brand electronics. Thanksgiving also leads to many New Year's resolutions; diet related, of course. But seriously, this is a great time of year; the weather is nice, the memories are fond and the food rarely disappoints. So, here is my haiku for you: #Haikusday #MPFA #MakePoetryFunAgain
I love Just Dance as much as the next person, if the next person has also sustained a minor foot injury due to enthusiastically crushing their previous high score. Don't judge me. Background photo by Wendy Wei from Pexels.
#haikusday #JustDance #MPFA #makepoetryfunagain The fall season typically bestows on us a long awaited reprieve from the merciless summer heat. And as if this season delights in our continued suffering, it dramatically brings forth cooler weather via allergen-rich frontal systems with periodic bands of ice-cold rain. Some people navigate the weather with apathy and grace, while others are emo and write poems about it. The following haiku explore how two very different people, make their respective ways into a store during an episode of unforgiving weather. #haikusday #fallvibes #emo #MPFA
