Making this track exercised the songwriter's composition muscle in spite of his instinct to scrap the beat initially. The lyrics embody the struggle of doing something creative on demand and perhaps on a deadline, even if the creator doesn't feel inspired at the time. Another song inspired by family, this tune is an homage to the singer/songwriter's grandfather who passed away before hearing the final version. There is a lot to be said about family, but most of it sounds cliche. I'll let the poem and the song speak for themselves. I mean, they have words, don't they? A sweet song about the singer/songwriter's wife with lyrics as straightforward as you'll get from this band. Not my favorite, but totally relatable. As with many twenty one pilots' songs, there are so many layers it makes an onion cry. Here, watch the video for yourself. If you're not a fan, that video was bland, kinda weird, and meant nothing.
