Hi, and welcome to Trench. Just kidding, you're on my website, which is less like limbo and more like purgatory. Anywho, the album "Trench" by the rock duo Twenty One Pilots was released to critical acclaim (?) on October 5th-ish, 2018. Their fanbase (the Clique) were delighted, but none more than I who saw an opportunity to commit myself to an entire month of posts synthesizing ALL of the songs on the album into (you guessed it) poetry. Each episode will include a poem and original artwork by yours truly. I am not going in track order, so keep up. If you don't know the tracks, their names, or what they sound like, try Google. It's a modern marvel. To find out what the songs mean, join a monastery of the Skeleton Clique where you can meditate about them in silence for years before triggering a self-induced existential crisis.
Episode #1: Inspired by "Bandito" (Track 11 from Trench)
Original artwork property of kayenjee, all rights reserved. Do not use without linking and proper credit, in other words put some respect on my name. Most likely, no one is that interested in this basic phone-illustrated jpeg that only qualifies as art with the broadest of definitions, but the thirst could be real.
If you enjoyed, please check out the rest of my site, come back on Monday for another episode of Poems About Songs, and Tuesday for #Haikusday. Also, sharing is sharing, so go forth and multiple my page hits.
